Mike’s Favorite Stories on ILLUMINATION Publications — #45

Dear avid readers, for the past two days, I’ve been unable to create collections because my account was muted by Medium algorithm, unexpectedly falling into its spam folder. It’s ironic that while I’ve been fighting against spammers and scammers, the algorithm suspended an account belonging to an avid reader, Medium friend, editor, and writer without notice.
It was quite awkward that after having my early morning coffee, I joined ILLUMINATION’s publishing queue. However, when I tried to publish, it said I was not allowed to do so because my account was under investigation for violating rules. Fortunately supportive editors calmed me down as so many readers shocked when they couldn’t access my stories and collection. I will write about the details in a story, as this event completely changed my perceptions about this fragile platform.
So far I compiled 44 collections. I also found interesting interviews with writers and added them to a post so that you may find them easily. They are captivating and full of life lessons.
I enjoy reading more than writing, although I want to write to keep my brain active in this old age. I dig and keep finding captivating stories that you may enjoy. Compared to the other days, my new collection is short, but rather than size, the quality of stories in this post matters. It is full of gems that you don’t want to miss out.
As Aiden covers the new ones, I focus on older story repositories to give readers a nostalgic experience. Each story is a gem worth your time. You may dive in, engage, and spread the word on social media so these stories can reach more readers. I tried to follow most writers I hadn’t met before, but the system stopped me after a while. I learned that I could follow only 150 writers a day, so I will try another day.
Our good friend Aiden (Illumination Gaming) added them to a list which you can easily share. Aiden also featured recently boosted story from ILLUMINATION-Curated today. I believe you will find many great pieces from his collection.
In addition, I listed all boosted stories I read last month and provided my thoughts including some common patterns on these exceptional stories. You will love them. There is something for everyone as these exceptionally well written stories cover many topics and different writing styles.
I also wrote two short stories recently to keep my brain active.
By the way Aiden wrote a beautiful piece today. It touched my heart. I bet you will love this unique and poignant story. It is titled Finding Comfort in Blocks: How Minecraft Eased My First Time Loneliness and Intense Grief at 17.
Dr Yildiz interviewed a few writers last week. The most recent one is Gill McCulloch who is an inspiring writer.
The second one was Adelia Ritchie, PhD.
The third one was a new writer Dr. Lutz Kraushaar who is of course not new to writing. You may say hello to Dr Kraushaar and connect with him as his content is insightful and inspiring. He also became a Friend of Medium like me.

Recently he had one of his stories reviewed by an expert as his story was poorly performed. I liked his story giving us clues, but his mentor’s points did not fully resonate with me as whatever style we follow, our readers don’t get a chance to see them based on my experience. I wonder whether other writers feel the same. I shared my perspectives on the story.
In these collections, I also provide a few updates for the new writers. Aiden and I keep contacting Dr Yildiz as he is busy with many administrative tasks like adding 130 new writers. Despite all this, he maintained a cheerful attitude and shared an interesting story related to his personal life and how he manages publications with support from 148 volunteer editors. He gives us valuable ideas and inspires us to keep editing and curating. His story might give you valuable perspectives on our challenges.
He also shared a very important story about money and how our obsession might bring unhappiness. His approach to material world is very similar to mine, focusing on altruism and gratitude.the
Recently, my account was duplicated for the fifth time, causing inconvenience to my readers once again. I expressed my frustration in a story. They used sophisticated tactics to further confuse my readers. First, they pretended to be me. Then, changed the account name to something else. But I found and reported them. This new story might give you some clues on their new tactic and guide you to protect your account.
I invite and urge you to share the information, and together, let’s stand against these scammers, ensuring they fail in their fraudulent activities. Your support is invaluable in this collective effort. Thank you for joining me in the fight against these unethical behaviors on this platform. And the day before, they cloned Dr Yildiz’s account a third time. He provided valuable guidance.
