I’ve been working with startups for more than 20 years. During this time, I identified many recurring pain points:
- Strategic Planning: Lack of a clear tech roadmap, difficulty aligning technology with business goals
- Technology Decisions: Poor choice of tech stack, challenges in evaluating and selecting appropriate tools (usage AND budget)
- Team Building: No knowledge about required tech skills, struggles with assembling the right technical team (number of employees, technical background)
- Operations Management: No team or technical processes, wrong choice of project management methodology (or no choice at all)
- Adaptability: Uncertainty about when and how to pivot, difficulty in adjusting strategy based on market feedback
- Failure Management: Difficulty handling project failures, leading to many questions, such as “Can I reuse parts of the existing codebase?”, “How do I restructure my team?”, or “How do I manage my customer relationships post-failure?”
