I was a Junior in high school, a shy and insecure young man. I worked part-time at the NCO club on the base in Japan where my dad was stationed. I washed dishes and while I worked I flirted with a chubby redhead schoolmate who bussed tables.
One night off, I had the chance to take our relationship past the flirting stage. I blew it. I still think about the lost opportunity. I created a YouTube video about that night that went viral.
