The traditional approach to goal-setting works only if:
1. 90% of achieving the goal depends on you.
2. You can clearly specify your strategic goal.
3. You can analyze your current state thoroughly.
4. You have a familiar, reliable method for getting from point A to point B.
But these four conditions never occur simultaneously.
