Where is Truth in the News Media?

I took that photo when i passed by this cheer

Dear friend/reader,

Good day! Where is truth in the news media? Is this a question you have asked, or have an answer to? Please share your opinions!

You deserve truth.

You can sense when truth is present.

You can see truth in people’s facial expressions.

Truth is refreshing in a way that it is congruent with your mind and heart.

The question about truth is similar to the question: Where is God in the News Media?

Let’s take a moment to mourn the journalists killed because of the truth they might have told, or inadvertently, for reporting from a danger/war zone. May they find worthy occupations of service in the worlds of God.

Let’s take a moment to honor those journalists who speak truth!

Here is my personal moment to honor Dr. Mehmet Yildiz. You know from his words that he is sincere. He is kind. Caring.

Let’s take a moment to honor a member of the News Media who is honest in your area of the world? In mine, I will honor Larry Wilson, a senior editor at the Pasadena Star-News. How much effort and time I can only guess it takes to carefully report stories.

You may not relate to the word God, so substitute your word please, when I speak of this mountain of truth, this Sun from which we derive breath and kindness. You are a living treasure house of unique gifts from this treasure house.

Why am I writing about this when I am somehow so involved in my heart with the detainees gathered up in the U.S.? (How dare they.) They who direct cruelty are not in touch with the treasures of goodness in them when they lack kindness and compassion.

We the people at times feel like children of people with parents with untreated paranoid schizophrenia. We hear one thing in the news media which feels against all sense of conscience within. It gets old. How are the young people coping?

So how did I get to this subject? Innocently enough. I was writing in “A Writing Room”, a collective, in a silent writing session, when I drifted into a sleep state and overheard a conversation.

Frankly, this is the second time this has happened to me, but the first time I was asleep in my bed, not writing in my journal.

This time, when I drifted off, like last, it was a short conversation. I overheard someone say: “Where is God in the News Industry?”

So I pose this as a question and a reflection. Each news media person has an opportunity to climb their own spiritual mountain and bring down “tablets” of unity and upliftment, at the least, truth, from those peaks in consciousness.

The first conversation I heard, when dreaming in my bed was a lecture. A friend of mine named Star was speaking, and one sentence from her speech was this, “When you divide things up, they lose their exuberance.”

Blessings. I think the first dream and the second go together. I am out of wisdom for the moment and am relying on yours. I wrote an article after hearing the first sentence, “Where is God in the News Media,” and it was, thankfully, published in the “San Diego Jewish World,” thanks to the Senior Editor there, Don Harrisoon.

That article and responses of dear Dr. Yildiz’s and others are at “Where is God in the News Industry”

I hope you are doing well, and enjoying one or two treasures from within yourself on this day. Thanks so much for considering this article, and thanks to Dr. Yildiz for inviting me to post in this “magazine.” Thanks to the other writers here who post with integrity.
