In January I received a message from a dear friend informing me about her aunt’s funeral. That was not the only reason. We chatted for a bit and I immediately knew that there was something more that she didn’t say.
She told me that she had a baby and needed someone to help and that was it. She took forever to get to the point but I still didn’t understand why the urgent need. I understood when her mom phoned me later that day. I didn’t expect to see her in the state she was but by the end of that day everything became clear.
What I experienced the few days that I was there was something no mother should go through during or after birth. I would not even wish that on my worst enemy. To see a child suffer like that is unbearable. This baby or any baby should go through what he went through and what saddens me more is, there was nothing we could do to relief him of that pain
