The Big Picture
I look at the world through a few different lenses. With an academic background in health sciences, I am naturally drawn to facts and evidence. But I also have a deep love for the rhythm of poetry and the freedom of fiction.
Whether I’m diving into a meticulously researched non-fiction essay or crafting a short story, my work is about one thing: exploring the human experience with clarity and honesty.
Background & Perspectives
I grew up in India, living right beside a hospital. Observing the environment from a young age taught me a lot about the fragility of life and human connections. This perspective deepened through my experiences working alongside my mother on grassroots community initiatives for women’s health and combating child malnutrition. Seeing this work firsthand showed me the harsh realities of societal gaps, but also the power of community resilience.
Because of these upbringing experiences, I developed a habit of looking at things closely and trying to put myself in other people’s shoes. Practicing this kind of empathy allows me to see situations from multiple directions, which has always protected me from falling into prejudice and hatred.
My Writing Philosophy & Values
At my core, I believe that discrimination and the weight of authoritarian systems like communism are among the most destructive things human society faces, leaving scars across civilizations. I truly hate violence and the hatred that fuels it. For me, human equity isn’t just an idea; it is essential for a peaceful world. I write because I want to look closely at these fractures, challenge the ideas that divide us, and help build a space where human dignity comes first.
My ideas usually spark at the intersection of unexpected connections. I believe good writing needs both an analytical mind and creative empathy. When I write or edit, my main focus is always clarity and honesty. My goal is always to refine a piece until the structure is solid, the story flows naturally, and it respects the reader’s time and intelligence.
