The Journal of Ecophysiology and Global Sustainability (JoEGS) is an international, peer-reviewed, and multidisciplanary publication dedicated to advancing knowledge at the intersection of physiology, biochemistry, neurobiology, psychology, ecology, and sustainability. JoEGS focuses on how organisms respond to environmental challenges and how those responses shape ecosystems, conservation strategies, and sustainable development.
We welcome research that spans scales from molecular and cellular mechanisms to whole-organism performance, population dynamics, and ecosystem processes. Topics of interest include physiological adaptation to climate change, thermal and water relations, metabolic trade-offs, stress responses, bioenergetics, and integrative studies linking physiology with biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.
JoEGS places special emphasis on work that connects ecophysiological insights to pressing global issues such as food and water security, habitat restoration, sustainable resource use, and human well-being. The journal encourages contributions from experimental, observational, and modeling studies, as well as reviews, perspectives, and policy-relevant commentary.
Our goal is to provide a platform for physiologists, ecologists, environmental scientists, and sustainability practitioners to share evidence-based research that informs both theory and practice in building a more resilient and sustainable future.
JoEGS is a collaborative initiative co-founded by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz and Lauri Viisanen. Details of the editorial team and author submission guidelines will be shared here soon.
