Writing and Achieving Big Goals When Life’s Not Treating You Well

I Completed Four Books in 2024 In the Heat of Life and What You Can Learn from My Approach As an Aspiring or Established Author

Summary of “How I Wrote 4+ Books in 2024 Despite an Extremely Busy Schedule

I am an author of multiple books in different niches and content strategist with 40+ years of experience. Reviewing my 2024 results, I am satisfied with how I wrote four books amid personal and professional difficulties. Yesterday, on January 1, 2025, despite sadness, disappointment, and a busy calendar in 2024, I published three books. I want to summarize the tips and tricks I use to help budding writers and published authors.

1. Passion Drives Creativity

My deep passion for writing and making an impact fuelled my writing and gave the whole process of creating each book its own purpose — to inspire, share personal stories, and solve real problems.

Lesson 1: Find what keeps you excited. Passion feeds your imagination and motivates you through challenges.

2. Do One Thing at a Time.

Attention was my power when it came to writing. By creating sacred writing moments, a place away from distraction, and intentional time spent in complete silence, I could turn 30-minute spurts of work into great results.

Lesson 2: Dividing grand visions into small achievable steps will help keep things in line. Focus creates momentum.

3. Connect Your Priorities to Your Objectives.

Time is limited, so things move quickly. By cutting out the noise and giving writing a place at the top, I created room for the things that mattered. Refusing a well-known keynote gave me the opportunity to finish my first book — a bestseller that hit a nerve. I knew my preferred option would bring more value to my bigger goals.

Lesson 3: Invest your time in the most important things. Saying no to frivolous tasks opens up space for progress.

4. Use Systems and Methods

I used a systematic method to organize my writing. Everything from chapter sketches to dictation software, I was working as efficiently as possible. Speaking drafts out loud saved me time and freed me up to edit and improve my writing.

Lesson 4: Build a system that’s suited to you. Customized techniques can save time and reduce tension.

5. Prioritize Mental Clarity and Well-Being

Cognitive and emotional sanity was the foundation of my success in 2024. Meditation, neurobics, and intermittent fasting opened up an energy reservoir that made writing less exhausting and more rewarding.

Lesson 5: A healthy brain and body is the engine of imagination. Small, consistent habits can enhance creativity and productivity.

6. Leverage Smart Collaboration Effectively

Collaboration has been the key to success for all my initiatives, and it has worked for book-writing, too. Working with editorial partners and beta readers added new insight and fresh ideas to my writing, raising the bar on the quality of my books and making revisions easier.

Lesson 6: A supportive and uplifting team can add value by adding fresh insights and perspectives.

Conclusions and Key Takeaways

It was challenging to write four books in a year amid life’s ups and downs, but it was also rewarding. Together with enthusiasm, attention, scheduling, systems, focus, and collaboration, a seemingly impossible task became an achievable one.

Both novice and expert writers can employ these tricks to keep themselves on task and always produce quality material.

Here is my question for you to ponder: What’s one important thing you have been holding back on?

I invite you to call 2025 the year of achieving your goals and realizing your delayed dreams. Leave a comment and tell us what you think- let’s inspire and enlighten one another in this new year! Please leave a comment.
