Proverbs 4:23: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
No one tells you how much your heart pays for moments of instant gratification. They don’t warn you about how your soul feels heavier whenever you give yourself to someone who doesn’t see your worth.
Soul ties aren’t just something people talk about to sound spiritual—they are real, and they can hurt when they’re tied to the wrong person. You share more than just time together; you share vulnerability, trust, and a part of yourself that can be hard to reclaim.
I’ve been in relationships where lust and toxic behaviors clouded my judgment, making it harder to see my self-worth. What I’ve realized now is that sex outside of commitment can create insecurity, not love, and can block real connection.
Healing starts with understanding:
• Not everyone deserves access to you.
• Guarding your heart is not about closing yourself off—it’s about protecting your most valuable asset.
