Hi, all. You may remember me from my editorial feature with Dr. Mehmet Yildiz; “Beyond the Surface: Insightful Conversations with Fildy Bejaoui — An open and meaningful exchange covering metaphysics, psychology, spirituality, trauma, and the path to healing.“
An Interview with Fildy Bejaoui
This conversation with Fildy Bejaoui delves into complex topics like metaphysics, psychology, and trauma, encouraging deeper understanding of mental health. Fildy discusses the intricacies of trauma, revealing societal misconceptions, and stresses the importance of introspection and therapy for personal growth. The dialogue invites readers to reflect on their experiences and evolve.
Today, I am sharing my knowledge and insight on at times unacknowledged responses from “you“, aka from your subconscious. As I explain, the subconscious is only your unacknowledged self, but it is otherwise always you; however, as the bulk and mass of you that is unacknowledged, we often don’t comprehend that it is “you,” “I.”
I am going to shed light on two principle fears, the fear of harm, which leads us directly to the fear of getting caught—and therefore publicly exposed, which are fear-based survival states that the subconscious finds itself in when fearing for its own safety.
-> It’s important to first note, that, fearing for its safety is an entirely subjective, and yet entirely valid thing. Meaning that, other people may share opinion-based and thus entirely subjective signals, which have nothing to do with reality, but which lead you to feel that coming out honestly and being forthcoming with your intentions is an unsafe thing to do.
The “lie,” and subjectivity, here, is that, while you may encounter some time-wasting individuals who will make you feel a certain negative way -> who sends negative, opposing signals to the being, it is not the truth of the universe, and yet that’s exactly how every single one of our experiences shape us: each happenstance is an example of what life can bring, and we conclude that: people (we encounter) = the whole world, and if our experience of life is negative, we conclude all of life as an extension is also negative. That is, of course, inaccurate.
It’s relevant for our case here as this is precisely this state of fear and unwelcomeness that causes you, aka your subconscious, to contract in repression and begin to achieve its end subversively.
Let’s explore:
1. Fear of harm
Fear of harm, is often, primarily fear of emotional harm. The mind watches out for its emotional well-being at all times, even above our physical well-being.

Fear of emotional harm trumps fear of physical harm, because physical harm has an emotional component on top of being physical as well. As such, there is nothing worse than emotional harm, because it is completely inescapable. What can harm us the most, is ultimately emotional, due to the emotional meanings that every single experiences holds to human consciousness, including harmful physical experiences.
Now this is when the self-protection subversiveness shows up.
2. Fear of getting caught
Fear of being caught is classified under fear of harm because of the assumption that being caught will lead to harm.

When someone fears being found out, they fear their agenda, intention or action is going to be stopped.
This agenda, intention or action has been put into place by the mind for a reason, as the mind believes it will lead somewhere wish-able. Therefore, the fear of being found can equal meaning they will not be able to attain their end-goal.
To read on more about these two subconscious states the mind finds itself in, you can find the original article on Fildy‘s resource page.
You will notably learn about how the fear of being caught also concerns the fear of awareness, and of looking at one’s self, and ultimately as fear of being caught implies, it also leads to a preemptive refusal to be subjected to the judgement others, and the erasure that this external, non-self judgement will or risks leading to. A probability usually too high for the mind to entertain, hence why these two energy currents are subconscious, and are covert instead of overt, and why they are fears in the first place; because the mind fear harm.
