Summary of Submission Guidelines for Interested Writers

Hello, this is Ann (Pen & Paper), a writer and editor on Medium.com. I recently joined as an editor for ILLUMINATION Integrated publications on Medium. I am also grateful that Dr Mehmet Yildiz invited me to his author platform, Digitalmehmet, as a guest blogger. In my first post, I’d like to introduce you to my new publication, which I called The Capricorn! I am also pleased that Dr Yildiz volunteered to serve as a consulting editor of this new publication.

The Capricorn is now open to submissions. Whether you’ve spent years charting birth charts, write fiction that bends time, or you’ve always wondered why the moon feels different in one country than another, this is your space to make sense of the wonder.

Everyone possesses such times when he/she is interrupted. A tarot card that is precisely what we heard. One of the cities that we visited, which somehow already had an idea about us. An interview with a chance acquaintance on the train, written in the stars.

It is during such moments that this publication has been published, the moments when wisdom and wonder coexist, with phenomena that neither science nor skepticism can fully explain.

This is where you belong, whether you are an astrologer carving out the next decade of someone, a numerologist who discerns patterns in all that the rest of us are blind to, a fiction writer who is constructing worlds of meaning out of myth and memory, or a technologist wondering where AI and ancient systems of meaning-making converge.

There is no common aspect of horizontal ads, music, and embedded pictures beneath the text but above the content below in The Capricorn, where you do not have to be limited to the topic of business and productivity, but may also write about horoscopes and history simultaneously.

What We’re Looking For in Your Submissions

We cover numerous subjects, and we do not prefer one category among the ten. Categories include:

  • Astrology and numerology – horoscopes, breakdowns of birth charts, planetary transits, and the numbers that all appear to have attached themselves to us.
  • Literary Fiction & Poetry— short stories, serial fiction, and poetry that borders on myth, memory, and mysticism.
  • AI, Technology & Business _ — where cosmic thought, online business, and productivity intersect.
  • Culture & History- essays on tradition, ritual, and the need of man to have meaning in the sky.
  • Healing & Self-Development — intelligent writing, reflectively and honestly, around growth, cosmic wisdom, and the business of becoming yourself.
  • Travel — this is something new, and we are enthusiastic about it. We are seeking essays about where you had an epiphany of seeing the world in a new way: the temple that made you feel like you were back at the temple, the desert sky that made you feel like you were an infinitely small being, the city that felt like your chart because of its energy better than your hometown did. Travel writing, in this case, does not require a stamp on a passport to sign a statement of value, but rather a tale of how a place relates to a feeling, a place, a pattern, a piece of you you did not know was there.

A Few Ground Rules

  • Original work only. None of the AI-written drafts can be presented as your own voice, as we, as well as your readers, can notice it. Must be a Medium Member and follow Medium rules.
  • Use referencing points in reference to astrological or numerological bases. Nothing is wanted like confidence; nothing is welcome like misinformation.
  • Be respectful of other worldviews, other cultures, and places. We want curiosity, not caricature.
  • Be honest rather than performance-oriented. The best essays in this genre look more like a dialogue than a lecture.

Add a proper image according to your content, and write image alt text. AI images are acceptable, but with a caption

How to Submit?

After this publication, turn in your draft in the form of a story. Include it with the Capricorn on your settings page of your story. New authors are always welcome. You are not required to have a fan club; a story to be told is enough. Simply leave a comment using your Medium username.

We are creating something that does not pit the mystical and the practical but makes them mutually supportive. We want to read a chart that you have to break down, a border that you have to write about, and a belief that you can not describe fully.

Many thanks to Dr Mehmet Yildiz, chief editor of the ILLUMINATION publications on Medium, for volunteering to be a consulting editor for The Capricorn publication.
