Curator’s Note: The Halloween Haunt in October 2026 results for the Zodiac Writing Challenge have been announced, celebrating the Capricorn Writers. From October 16 to 29, participants explored zodiac-themed stories that blended Halloween elements with personal experiences. The challenge featured diverse contributions, including seven highlighted entries that creatively approached zodiac signs. The winning stories included “Goldfish, Red Lake,” “Leo: I Am the King of Stars,” and “Cancer—The House That Remembers.” Thanks were extended to Dr. Mehmet Yildiz for his support. The Capricorn encourages ongoing exploration of astrology and other themes in future challenges, fostering a rich writing community. Readers are invited to engage and support the writers.
Every writing challenge begins with an invitation. The real joy comes when writers respond with ideas we could never have anticipated.
For The Capricorn, 12 Signs, 12 Shadows was an invitation to explore zodiac-inspired stories through Halloween, personal experiences, suspense, and unexpected discoveries. From October 16 to 29, writers brought their own voices to the challenge, turning a shared theme into a collection of very different contributions.
As the challenge concludes, I want to thank everyone who took the time to participate. We know that every submission represents time, thought, and a willingness to share something with readers that deserves recognition.
