Amy Gunter, Ed.D., MSW is a licensed mental health clinician, educator, disability inclusion consultant, and writer. As Founder of Gunter Consulting, Amy partners with K–12 districts, colleges, nonprofits, mission-driven organizations, and families to build inclusive learning environments, accessible workplaces, and psychologically safe systems. Her work integrates restorative practices, social-emotional learning (SEL), disability accommodations, and trauma-responsive frameworks to close equity gaps and improve outcomes for neurodivergent students and adults. Amy also works directly with families navigating IEPs, 504 plans, college preparation, scholarship strategy, and education advocacy, helping them move from confusion to clarity. She has authored academic articles on college student mental health supports and equity in STEM education. Amy holds an Ed.D. and MSW from the University of Southern California and serves as a volunteer editor for Illumination.
